I bought 4 new books yesterday...

Yeah, i really didn't have the money but I was looking around Borders and found about 6 that I really wanted and had to put some back. I got two that were on clearance and they were about fitness and health. The other two sound like really good stories. I started one last night and am really enjoying it. When's the last time you bought a new book?

I bought a new copy of Stephen King's The Stand for $3 (including shipping) from Ebay about a month ago. Before that my friend gave me a bag full of books and I also joined a couple of book clubs. I have two bags full of books PLUS Harry Potter book 7 that I still need to get to. But my family just started using the public library again so I've been reading those first since you have to take them back and there is no guarantee that the next time you want to renew them you can, so I'm reading those first. I can't afford to always go to Borders (I love Borders lol) but I know they always have interesting books on discount outside so I check those out and I can usually find something interesting for a few dollars. I also have no more room for books as the cupboard I am keeping them in is full! When I was younger I had over 300 books, I was donating about a box full to charity, but due to a miscommunication on my dad's part he accidentally took all of the other books and I was left with the ones I was going to give away and 80% of my book collection was gone. So that was a huge bummer as I love books, but I've gotten over it. They were teen fiction books so my interest in them wouldn't have lasted too much longer.

I am so sorry about the misunderstanding about your books. I don't know what I would do if that happened to me.. man!
I collect books, mostly older books and that would literally be devastating to me! I love books too! I have bought even more since I posted this one! But I am enjoying one of the four I bought that day right now!

I felt good when heard about this situations of yours. As for me you can call me a book worm. I usually buy books now and then. This could be because I love reading them or as I'am a student. the last time I bought book was 3 days back. Bye for Now!

I used to read a lot more for fun. I have decided I want to read for fun again. I have been reading for years only for information. So two of the books are just for fun!

Hi, macdingolinger. Well, all last week, was Teacher's Appreciation week at my son's school, and I bought him a book and a dictionary from the Book Fair. This was held at his library in school. I bought one and got the other one free or half off. I paid altogether $6.00 and some change for two books. Altogether without the discount, it would have been, over $12.00. So, I really saved some money! While they still made a profit! I love reading books. And if I can get some books, I will pay for them. I am glad that you went to Borders to find you s few books that you will enjoy. Happy Reading!
