I don't enjoy watching any movies in a foreign language. The only language I understand is English, and I don't like anything with subtitles. I assume Asian movies would be subtitled, at least if they were released in the US. Also, I associate Asian movies with karate films, and I don't enjoy them. I may be wrong about that, but Americans tend to think the only movies worth watching are made in Hollywood.

I have only started one discussion, so don't feel bad about not responding. If that Finnish movie is on at Christmas time, I will definitely watch it. I love all Christmas movies.

hello my friend. You also take apart in all my discussions and that makes me happy seeing nice people like you. thank you for the support and sorry if i can't post in yours, but the only reason is that I either have no time or they are not from my interests hope you don't get mad on me! well, maybe I like them because my native language is not English, but there are really many movies that are made in Asia, that really worth the time. I just can't agree that all the best movies are made in Hollywood, because there are also many European movies that I really like and maybe the best of all them is "A Christmas story" a finnish movie about the true story of Santa Claus. This Christmas you can watch it and you will see that it worths

I used to be addicted to any Korean film back then. My favorite was Windstruck and my sassy girl. I stopped watching though cause I realized that it was taking over my life and I really had to stop. :)

well, sometimes we really get much more into movies then it is allowed and it is really good when we realize it and stop for a while with it

From the ones that you have mentioned I have only watched shaolin soccer and it is really a great movie and i give it 10/10 :) the other two I haven't even heard, but I will search for them too and hope to find them with proper subtitles. thank you so much for the movies, because nowadays I really hardly find some good movies to watch!

I'm addicted to Japanese movies and dramas. I like Chinese and Korean movies but not as much. The last Japanese movie I saw was Cyborg She. I've actually started to get bored with English movies and found a funny series that got me started in Asian dramas/movies.

A few I've seen are: Strange Circus 252: Signal of Life Sorry that's all I can think now. I've veered more into the tv dramas than the movies. Some that I liked are: Mei-chan no Shitsuji Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e My Boss, My Hero

yeah, there are really not many good US productions nowadays and after I have watched the most of the TOP US movies from the past, now I am searching forsomething new and I found that I was really blind for the Asian movies, because there are so many good ones that really worth the time that I will spend to watch them. some members already offered me two really good ones. CAn you offer me some too?????

I used to be so addicted to Japanese and Korean movies/drama series so yes, I liked watching Asian movies. I have watched Shinobi three years ago. I liked the story but I did not like the ending. That's too sad. I also liked the actors.

Yeah, it's a really great movie. I think I cannot recommend you other Asian movies like Shinobi since most Asian movies I watch are romantic comedies, high school romance and chick flicks. The only reason I watched Shinobi was because of my favorite Japanese actress. :)

Which one is your favorite actress- the one who played the role of Oboro? She is really very beautiful and plays very good I hope that I will find some other movies like that, but there are really many others that you can find- try to watch "HAchiko"- but not the US version, try the Japanese one, it is from 1984 as I remember it!
11 May 10
yeah, SHinobi is definitely one great movie but as you already have mentioned there is no happy ending and the actors are really great and very beautiful( especiallythe women) can you recommend me some Asian movies that you think are the best ones that you have ever watched?

I like Asian films. Korean for one. I like their lines, plot and the simplicity of the movie. I also like this Taiwanese movie entitled Home Run a lot. It's very touching and I felt like crying. I am looking for an original copy of that in stores but I can't find any :(

I like watching action movies , but to be honest ever since they have stopped producing bruce lee movies , i kind of lost interest and even forgotten about peeking a little bit just to see what its new in the asian film indstry , its true that the last movie that i saw it was seven kingdoms , and it wasn't as bad as i was expecting it to be , but in comparations with some other holliwoodien movies , they are some asian moovies that are far more better then the crap full of clichees ( i hate using clichees in a moovie ) that the american have been producing the last two years.
11 May 10
well, I ca only agree with you about Bruce Lee- he was the master of fighting movies, but the one that I have mentioned in my first post here-"Ip man" there is a lot of nice fighting and something else- the movie is based on the real life of Bruce Lee's vin-chu teacher( vin-chu is a fighting sport just like kung-fu) so if you have some spare time I warmly recomend it to you!
