What bedding you use for your little hamster? / myLot

Before I use chipsi and it's made from fiber but I figure out later that my little ones are allertic to it and keep sneezing and nose bleed so I immediately ask for advised for it.The vet advised me to use shredded tissue as it's the best and the safe one.Also shredded paper but should not be newspaper.After taking the advice,my hamsters are back to normal again.So what do you use for bedding?

I use wood shavings for my hamster and I also put wool in for him to make himself a bed. He seems very happy!!

which kind of wood shaving?I hope it's not cedar or pine.It's harmful for them.

When my children were younger, they also had hamsters as their pets. They shred papers taken from the yellow pages of the telephone directory. They changed it every other day to avoid foul smell roaming around the house.

I used toilet tissue and I changed it every 3 days.Now the part I am worrying is my other hamster is pregnant and I know It is not possible to clean the cage for weeks!Don't know how to handle it yet!

I use aspen wood shavings with both my rabbit, guinea pigs and hamster. I haven;t had any issues thus far. I heard cedar, and pine are very dusty and cause a lot of issues. I have never heard of chipsi.
