To those of you who wear colored contacts...

I've always wondered, do they impede your vision in any way? What I mean is, it seems to me the colored portion only allows for your pupil to be dilated a certain amount, but were your eyes to dilate beyond that, part of your vision might be tinted by the color of the lens. Is this true? I've never worn contacts of any kind myself, so maybe the answer is quite obvious, but I haven't a clue.
