Is the Philippines ready for another Aquino as President?

Though not yet official, it's highly likely that Benigno Aquino III will reign president of the republic of the Philippines. Obviously, with his promise that he will not steal, the hopes are high. Is the Philippines ready for another Aquino as President? For those who did not prefer him, what can you say about this impending victory?

Well right now I would say let us support him instead of clinging on our candidates that lost in the race. I think there is no reason for this country to rise up to where he belongs if only they can detach themselves from the losing candidates and start helping one another. Election campaign is over and we heard and see who won so let us all help one another because one president cannot do it on his own.

Sometimes that is the problem with our country. People fanatically supporting one candidate that they cannot accept that their candidates have conceded already and continues to bash the winning candidates. I think that would not help them and the nation at all. BTW, thanks for the BR.

I strongly agree. A president, whoever he/she may be, is just another leader. Without anyone to lead, being a president is just a title. Let's all work together to make the Philippines a better country to live in. Thank you for posting.

I voted for him and I'm thankful he's winning. I know he is not the perfect candidate (like gordon and teodoro) but I rather have him as the new leader than Erap Estrada. Imagine if Mar Roxas didn't give in, we will have a re-elected plunderous President. That's more hell than I can ever imagine.

Aside from Noynoy who is more of a public figure than Gordon and Gibo, Joseph Estrada had the charm that captured the masses. Given the fact that he had been convicted of a crime before, the majority (not more than who voted for Aquino, though) of the voting people preferred him. It only means that many people still believe in what he can do. Like what happened to Aquino, the result of the election is loosely based on choice made out of faith. They believe in Erap, thus the election result. This is my opinion, though. Of course you have your own reason why you voted for Aquino. Let's all hope that Noynoy will be like or even better than the previous Aquino presidents. The hope of all Filipinos are in his hands. Thank you for posting.

let's hope that Noy will have a strong conviction not to listen to advises that are inclined to the 'crooked' road. my opinion in this is that, the Filipino people is desperate for a change and the majority's decision was loosely based on faith that Noynoy will be true to his words. thank you for posting.
