Well, you can fully respond this question by saying the best ones. If you want to say why, it will be very nice. I'm just going to enumerate them:
1) Full Metal Alchemist
2) Neon Genesis Evangelion
3) Death Note
4) Samurai Champloo

i have watched so many but the most memorable too me is oji section chief. Its about a man that uses his guitar/music to save an alien race from obliteration. well its great.

yes it is also called black heaven. This anime i think has more than 3 names currently.

There have been too many to count over the years. My personal favorites are Initial D, Rurouni Kenshin, and 12 Kingdoms. The animation and art for Initial D isn't much to look at but it's the story that I like. I became addicted to the series from the get go. The story is about street racing which isn't that common and the best thing is that every race is unique and interesting. Rurouni Kenshin is on my best list because it was one of the first anime series that I ever saw therefore I have a soft spot for it. And plus, the Kyoto Arc has got to be one of the greatest anime arc ever. It's full of action and drama. A lot of people I talked to have said that 12 Kingdoms is boring or whatever but I loved it. It's a beautiful fantasy/adventure series with a nice storyline. It's also a plus when the main female character isn't one of those weak and whiny damsel in distress type.

Thanks for your comments. I'm collecting information cause I want to see more animés that, of course, are considered good ;)! I've heard of them, however I´ve never seen.

Two of my favorites are Star Blazzers and Cowboy bebope. I am sure I have a few others but I can think of any right now.

If we are talking about anime then my vote goes to One Piece. The second place for me is Slam Dunk and the rest is good.

Great, the first one I did't see, but it sounds good. The second one I don't like it, cause it's a sports-themed animé. However, this is my preferences and appreciate your comments ;)! Cheers.

mmm.. for me, "fushigi yuugi" is one of the best ever anime in anime world.
the way the story flows was unpredictable. i like 7 guardians of miaka..
each has its differences but only one goal,
"to protect miaka"..hehe
