We are looking for an online college and have no clue which are good or just expensive pieces of paper. So if any one out there has used this type of schooling and has in sight, or can share good and bad experiences and what schools they where had with we would greatly appreciate them. We are looking for General studies as of right now until we decide what it is we would like to do. Any with history courses and programs as well.

My husband attends the University of Phoenix and they are a good school. They are legit and offer classes every nine weeks. My husband is in the process of finishing his Associates Degree next summer and then he will go on for his Bachelors. They offer general studies as well as other majors. My husband is majoring in Communications. It is a good school.

DeVry University, here in Indiana seems to be quite popular. I have never taken courses there. However, through the years, I have known a number of different people who have gotten an education through them by taking courses online.
I have also heard that the reason they went with this school is because their credits were so easily transferred. Perhaps, it depends on the place in which you live. Maybe they were going there because the college was in the State. It wouldn't be a bad idea to check locally and see if your area has an accredited college which provides for online courses. I do know that a number of them are offereing them now, even if you have to just go in once a semester and take an exam. It is definitely worth while to check locally, because you usually get a deduction on the tuition fees.
Good luck to you in finding a college with classes that are right for you!
