Well, at start it looked like India could defend 143 runs to qualify to the semi final after 2 crucial wickets fell in the first few overs of Sri Lankan innings but, at last they couldn't defend it and shockingly they couldn't even win the match by defending their total score. Sri Lankan batsman hit a couple of six in the last 2 balls of 19th over and the another six in the first ball of the twenty over. Still India got a chance in the last ball as Sri Lankans needed 3 runs to win of the last delivery. But the last ball was hit to a six. India chased a similar total against West Indies and failed to win but Sri Lankans did it. What do you think is the reason for this worst performance? I think its mainly because of the lack of quality pace bowling. I think almost every team has some good pace bowlers except India. Like for example, Sri Lanka - Lasith Malinga South Africa - Dale Steyn Australia - S Tait, B Lee New Zealand - Shane Bond West Indies - J Taylor Pakistan - S Akthar India should now be in serious search for good pace bowlers, without which the next year's ICC world cup will be hopeless for Indians.

I was apprehensive about lack of some best in the world bowlers. Though India has some quality bowlers, they are not consistent and that never give you confidence like Australian Bowlers do! But more surprising thing was the failure of Indian Batsmen! They seemed to be lost while facing some disciplined attack with Short balls etc strategy. It is quite funny that the players didn't learn anything from their last year world T20 debacle and were basking under the glory of IPL and performances on sub continent pitches! It is time, Indian players put more effort in learning more about opponents and working hard to create strategies to out play them. Indian players seem to be in the belief that they can hit every ball to the ropes! Only Raina, Rohit played some good batting. Over all, a disappointment again. Happy Mylotting!

yeah very bad performance by indian team in yesterday match.Bowling department is very waste through out the series.you listed some other bowlers from other teams expect tait others also struggled in this worldcup.indian selection team also did the wrong thing for this worldcup.India miss some quality bowlers like ojha, mishra, ashwin these players did well in ipl.why they select chawla in that team he got very poor performance in ipl.what selection team doing?

I think the reason why the selectors preferred Chawla over Ojha is that India have Harbajan Singh as spinner and Ravindra Jadeja as a added left arm spinner. Since there is already one main spinner and one another left arm spinner, I think they preferred to go with Chawla. If Jadeja weren't in the team, I guess Ojha would have been chosen over Chawla.

I accept with you its a great disappointment for all Indian fans. The team lacked of good pace powerful blower and batmen as to know how to play the short pitch ball. Team was lack of experienced players like Dravid and shewag . Even Sachin refused to take part in 20-20 we miss him alot.
