The first time when I saw Charlie Chaplin's movie was when I was only a small kid.Although they got no sound in the movie and sometimes just music but no conversation;I still thought that it was really interesting and funny. When I grow up,I found his movie is not just a comedy but it always reflect on the society at that time.I think they were all great movies and Charlie was surely a great actor and movie stars. He really deserved his oscar award for life time accomplishment.Recently I have just watched a youtube about how he fight in the boxing ring and it really made me laugh and happy. That;s why I share it by email with my friends. How about you? I think Charlie Chaplin is awesome! Did you see the movie of his life that Robert Downey Jr. made? It is also an excellent movie. It is ironic that you have asked this question, because I just told my son about that movie. Charlie Chaplin was so funny in his movies, but his life was pretty sad. I highly recommend that you see the movie Chaplin. It will make you appreciate him even more.

Oh,thank you for your suggestion.I knew that there was a movie on the life of Charlie a long time ago.But I haven't seen it before.I think I would like to see it and get to know more about his life.He was truely a great star of the past and his movie will surely remain big influence on the movies in the future as well. How ? I don't know but at least the professional acting skills and effort will teach all the movie star in the future at least do their best when acting in the movie.Charlie was surely a good model of it.The actors and actresses in nowaday don't always show their passion to be a actor. They only want to earn the money and that's it.The people in the past really have apassion to be a good actor. They know what means by act it and act it well. They didn't just go for money but they really love their joba nd have a great passion on it.This is the attitude and the mind set that the modern days actors and actresses need to be improved and learn from their forunner.Have a nice day.

If it wasn't for my American history class when I was in college, I wouldn't be familiar with Charlie Chaplin. However, I did take Dr. Roorda's class while I was in college, so I had a lot of exposure to Charlie Chaplin. He was always very, very funny in his acting and the fact that there wasn't audio in his movies didn't take anything away from the movie. And, you are completely correct that all of his movies did show something about society at the time and that made these movies more effective.

Oh yeah! Charlie Chaplin was one of the greatest ever! I think I laugh so much at his movies. But I think if I learned anything it is how he never gave up!

I loved Carlie chaplin! Watching hi films is still as entertaining today as it was in his day. Chaplin had a way of making you see his world. he didn't need to speak to make his voice heard. He was a cinematic treasure!

Yes he was a blast. I can picture him now hanging from the hands of that huge clock. I also picture him doing those legs. It's been a while since I've seen a Chaplin movie.
