We do not see too often a fast bowler of India getting the man of the match or winning the match for his team. Dhoni after losing the match told that the teams strength was batting. Is it not a shame to say such thing.the richest cricket board a cricket crazy nation of lots of talent can not produce a quality fast bowler who is a match winner like NANNES,McGRATH,POLLOCK etc. Spinners can sometime win the matches for India but rarely the fast bowlers do! What do u think?

Yes India never produced a quality fast bowler like Mcgrath, Pollock, Brett Lee..etc Kapil and Srinath was the exception. Now India had no genuine pace bowler also no bowler can bowl at the speed of 144-148 kmph. The main reason is because of Indian pitches. Which is made for spinners or batsmans. The pitches are life less. So it will help spinners. The quality pitches is the key for developing young talent fast bowlers.....

I also wonder why there is not that much craze for the fast bowlers in India.whenever we ask somebody who is ur favorite cricketer they say Sachin,Ganguly, dhoni etc.Why not they say Wasim akram,McGrath? i think there is no glamor for Fast bowlers so youth prefer Batting as a better option!!

Well friend, there are some players who really having some skills. But they doesn't got chance to prove their skills. Did you remember, Kamran Khan who played for rajasthan royals in 2008 edition. I think he has very good pace in his bowling. Nearly he made above 145 in his first edition. But his bowling seems to be throw and now he can't bowl with that speed. Similarly Kulkarni, he doesn't have much pace but line and length was good. Ashok Dinda has good pace. These players should be tested. I think they can prove their skills.
