ChaCha Questions

Hi there! I've been with ChaCha since 2007 and I was quite happy with it back then and the amount of money I made. I stopped for awhile (because I went back into the workforce outside the home) but as of today I've started back up. I've discovered that there have apparently been a lot of changes to ChaCha while I've been away and I was wondering if any guides had any advice they could share? Also, I'm not sure if it's the time of day or what, but I don't seem to be getting any questions from searchers. Anyone have any ideas why this could be? Thanks!

Yes a lot has happened at the ChaCha site over the years. One of the biggest changes is the pay per question answered is a lot lower now. When I first started it was 20 cents a question, now its usually 10 cents depending on the questions you get. Basically each category for Generalists/Specialists is assigned a pay rate anywhere from 10 - 20 cents. Now if you are in the role of the newly formed expeditor, then you only get 2 cents per question. You're lucky if you can make $3 - $5 an hour during the busy times these days.
ChaCha, a while back, implemented question limits, causing some people to only be allowed to ask like 1 question a month, if they were lucky. According to recent news on the site, they've begun lifting those limits, so the site has been a lot busier lately. Depending on which role you are in, depends on how many questions you get per hour. The busiest times are on the weekends and nights and early mornings. During the day can be b2b questions, but not always.
Good Luck!

Right now I'm in the Generalist category so hopefully I'll be seeing some questions coming in. Thanks for the advice though! I guess I'll start signing in later on at night and on the weekends to try to catch as many questions as possible. I just remember back a couple years ago when I'd get questions every few seconds and it was great! Ah well, times change I suppose.

Well, I just joined a month ago. And I see that the first-responder has a pretty good answer. I like being a Generalist/Specialist, just because it doesn't take too much time, half of the questions are super easy to answer, and you tend to get 10-16 cents per question. Supposedly you get more if you do a good job, not sure what that's all about. But I'm enjoying ChaCha, and it seems to be one of the best ways to earn online. I would give it another chance, stick with it, because chances are you'll make more money on ChaCha than you will.. with many other sites combined. ChaCha on! (LOL).
