I thought I'd share this will you all - and even get some tips and/or advice if anyone has anything to share. I have my monroe, lip, and nose (and ears/cartiledge) pierced, but have never gotten my tongue done. I figured - why not? I've been thinking about it for a while - and I think it would add a lot to my appearance. And no, I'm not getting it for any skanky reasons..Just so you know. I just think it would be cute. I've already made up my mind, so there's really no talking me out of it. But you CAN answer me these questions: Do you have any experience with this? Do you have any care tips or advice? And how long did it take to heal? Thanks in advance!

It is hard for me to understand why anyone would even want their tongue pierced. I would never mess with the perfection it already is.

Well, that's understandable. But I'm partial to getting piercings - whether or not anyone likes it. I have my monroe, two on my lip, my nose, and four holes in both ears (plus cartiledge). I also had my belly button done YEARS ago but took it out because I just didn't show it off. It's a personal thing. Some people judge what they don't understand. I think piercings are usually pretty attractive, modern, and can add a lot to your face. On the right person, of course.

Make sure to rinse with mouth wash after eating or drinking anything, except for water of course. When I got mine done I had to swish mouthwash for 3 minutes, I had to work up to that, 30 seconds-60 and so on. after a bit your mouth is numb so its no biggie. Eat soft foods for the first few days, I had to go to a BBQ the day after I got mine done, it was not easy to eat my hamburger. I cannot remember how long it took to heal, just remember to keep your mouth clean. That's all that I can think of. Hope it goes well.
