I have disposable contacts that are supposed to be thrown away once a month.
Sometimes I forget to throw them away after a month, but if it gets close to 2 months I can tell, because my eyes start to feel dry and hurt.
Do you ever wear yours longer than you should?
Does anything bad happen?

I don't wear those, but my husband has in the past. He used to keep his disposable contacts for about 3 months or so, however he only used to wear them like maybe 3 times a week. So we always figured that it was the amount of wear and tear on them and how many times they were used. Now I wonder if bacteria might grow on them if you use them past 1 month. I mean he always would soak them in the solution overnight, etc. I think it might be best though to ask your optician/opthamologist.
Good luck with it.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

No because my aunt has very bad experience about..
it gets to be dry fast and it can damage the cornea of the eye if you keep on using disposable Contacts that has low quality..

Hello momalisa, I am using contacts for years and though I had some problems using it I much prefer it than eyeglasses since it's not hassle for me. Before am using a contact lens which I have to change every 6 months but now am using which I changed every 3 months.
I really make sure I change the lenses when it reached the due dates since just like you, my eyes got redness, dryness and it hurts. I try not to use the lenses for a couple of days, especially when I am just at home. I make sure too that I don't use more than the prescribed hours to use. And most important of all, I go for an eye check up whenever I purchase new sets of contact lens.
Happy mylotting.

I have been wearing contact lens for 10 years until now, and I'm using disposable contact lens which is affordable and can easily be replaced, because we can buy 3 pairs of contact lens in one box for for a lesser price rather than extended lens. There are 2 kinds of disposable contact lens, one month wear and two months to wear. Yes, I had tried few times of wearing my contact lens that lapse on my due date. My eyes started to itch and uncomfortable as if there's something in my eyes. We can detect if our contact lens lapse on due date when you can see if there is a little torn part of the edges in your contact lens. Avoid wearing your contact lens if it is torn it may irritate your eyes. Try to check always the cap of the contact lens be sure that it is clean and use the right solution.

I do not have contacts but my co workers wear disposable ones, because they are cheaper. The only problem is their eyes hurt until it becomes red that they have no choice but to replace it. Something bad happens with someone here I think, his eyes were hurt because he is wearing his contact while barbecuing.
