a small town cafe where most everyone knows each other has a car come thorugh the building one day the car came through the walls and windows 1 person that worked there was hit by the car and the building and then 3 customers were hit by tables and so forth the customers were just fine but the employee was hurt. now all the place called for was to find out when that person was coming back to work. they never offered to help that person see if she was ok nothing just when do you think you will be back at work. she has been off work for a month going to doctors etc. still if they see her in town when do you think you can come back is all she hears. she isnt filing for workers comp isnt trying to get money from the place nothing. she is filing on the persons insurance that ran through the building though. its been a month and she still has bruises on her leg and more seriuos issues going on. if you were the boss dont you think you would call her or go by her house considring she lives less the a half a mile from the place. i mean there are 11 employees there and most are family of the owner so its not like it is a big chain or anything. i know most people would be trying to get money formthe cafe and the person that hit them but she hasnt even tried to do that or talked about that. now if you were her wouldnt at least your feelings be hurt? she is the only one in her house with a job right now this was her parttime job to keep them a float. her full time pays her bills but that is it. this was her food, gas, etc job. she has 2 kids to take care of. she is in pain all the time but no one from the place of business even thinks about her except when they make out the schedule and wonder when she is coming back. i just think it is sad.

this is really sad. workers oftentimes are neglected by their employers. they are seen as instruments and tolls rather than persons. it is sad, but it is a reality. that's why marx called workers to unite to change this situation. the law is on the side of the workers, but the employers have the money to get around laws. it is unfortunate that this still happens.

That is sad. I would think it would be a closer knit place. It is sad that people just do not care anymore.

it's a sad story. I don't understand why employers never help their staff since they're the one who work hard for them. Though, we're paid for working for them but it's not just about money that makes the company strong and still. Relationship is also very important. Employers should take good care of the their employees. This is a bad incident for me. I worried about her.

I think she deserves to be compensated for injury and loss of earnings. The employer should be made liable. But i suppose they have means to get over the law.Its really sad that someone who works so hard is put such hardship and misfortune.
