homemaker vs work duties?

women out there! do you ever sometimes feel that you are better off being at work rather than being at home, duties-wise? And vice versa? I have experienced both worlds as a career woman and now as a home maker, and sometimes i feel that no matter how much i embrace my mom-wife-homemaker role, i couldn't shake off the thinking that i am more capable in the workforce arena. i know, it's probably because having a job at the office is "easier" than staying at home and doing household chores and of course, raising a child. and i do feel guilty about this because it would seem selfish and not cut out for the role. any of you feel this?

I believe that women work more at home than they do in the career field. Completing everyday home tasks is more tiring than being a career woman. I think it's because there's always work to be done - whether it be washing dishes, drying laundry, etc. There is no lack of work at home, and homemakers don't earn enough money for the work they do. I think homemakers should be entitled to a salary - they certainly deserve it!

yes, it really is very difficult. and the schedule of a stay at hom parent is erratic, unlike in a company set up where one knows what to do already. here at home, i have to make a schedule for myself, which i normally ont follow because of the thinking that i have all the time in the world anyway. but what i am asking too is the fulfillment level... for me, i've been a career woman for 10 years and i find it very difficult to adjust to my situation now. in short i'm not used to doing house chores and there's always this feeling of uncertainty when it comes to money matters and the future. others on the other hand really want to be at home but then they couldn't because of financial matters as well.

I haven't been to any career yet since I'm still a student but it's yet near to come for me. Well, If I were to chose any of those. I probably be choosing homemaker because Home is the comfort zone of every person. If I were to do a lot of chores then I'll be just fine for me because its for my house and for my family, although I prefer cleaning the house If I were the only person at home. I don't like in a work place most of the time because I probably get stressed and have my eyes be twisted from a lot of work. well, that's my opinion.
