divert your attention

Do you try to lose yourself from the reality? How do you divert your attention away from stressful reality? I try to escape into the virtual world by being here in mylot hahaha. My children would play games on the internet. It's not too healthy, but it's still a way out and it's enjoyable heeheehee. Would you escape from your stress or would you brave it and face it daily???

No, I don`t. This is because I am never at stress . Well, it does not mean that I am never in trouble. But, I try to keep my mind in control. Whenever I am in trouble, I think that this just a trailer, the real problems are yet to come. This makes me feel at ease that still, I am not in the worst situation. I keep doing whatever I am up to, and this diversion is enough for keeping me away from stress, while still facing the trouble I am in.

Good method. I know of that too, but when I'm in it, somehow i forgot i'm not facing the worst heeheehee so i need my space and then I cool down auto.

hi ongtina, I also divert my time to some online activities and I somehow forget about personal problems which is pretty cool. In this stressful world we need to find a place wherein we can feel alive and stress-free.

Since losing my husband, every day is stressful. I distract myself by working, working, working. I'm trying to get rid of accumulated junk from around the house. I have 4 pet cages to keep clean and I have my grandkids, the internet and crochet. I have to keep busy so I don't think, if I think I end up crying, my reality isn't very good these days.

If Im trying to escape reality then I go online, or read a book, I can lose track of everything once Im reading, I tend to prefer doing this in my bedroom on my own, as its easier to be on my own if Im feeling really stressed about something.

When I'm stressed, I try to find something that relaxes me. It might be some relaxing music, maybe something that makes me laugh, or sometimes I just draw. Watching movies is nice, as well. Whatever the case, there are quite a few things that I can do to help me relax.
