My son is 6 months old now, and he has shown no interest in toys unless we are actively playing with him. If we put him in his playpen or crib with toys he ignores them. He doesn't even want to chew on his teething toys. What age did your children start actively playing with their toys?

I can't really remember the granddaughter actively playing at 6 months old, I do remember when she could sit unassisted, still her favorite "toy" was the keyboard that I had given her so she would leave mine alone. I think at 6 month old their favorite toys are still mommy and daddy :)

He is now showing some interest in his toys when we let him have play time in his high chair with the toys on the tray for him. His favorite thing to do with them however is to throw them.

My baby girl is 8 month old. She was plays her toys but for short time , so she have a lot of toys . she prefer more remote control or my laptop I think baby like things what they see in parents hand. now we start sweep under the carpet her old toys for some times and giving her later, so she forget about them ,and think they are new toys. And we bough her own remote control . I think she will by start playing her toys when she will by one years old.

Yeah, maybe when he gets to crawling and walking he'll play with toys on his own more. Until then I guess I'll keep letting him touch the keyboard when he wants to.

My daughter is 13 months old and she still is not interested to play with her toys. She gets bored very quick. She is much more interested in remote controls, phones or spoons.

Yeah, Parker likes the computer keyboard, or the telephone.
