Do you sing along with the radio?

There are times where I get so into the music on the radio that I start singing along. Granted, I do not have the best singing ability for sure, but I give it my all when I sing. Of course, I have gotten my share of odd looks if there are people around. So do you sing along with the music on the radio, even if you cannot carry a tune? Looking forward to reading your responses.

I only give it my all when singing inside the bathroom while taking a bath. In public, I sing along with the radio only when I know the lyrics. My voice is only as loud that only the one beside me hears it. To avoid embarassment, I only sing along when I know the lyrics. If not, I just hum the tune to my heart's content.

Ah yes, the old singing in the bath or the shower. That is always a classic. It never fails and there are times where I do it. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Ya I do. Especially when it is one of my favourite songs. I actually hum and tap my fingers or feet to the rhythm more than actually singing.

I had seen this guy once who was swaying his whole body to music sitting on the bike at the signal. So we are pretty sane.

Yes, I find myself doing that as well. It gives me great pleasure to think that I was not as insane as I thought when other people do the things I do. Or at least a bit saner. Of course none of us are completely sane in this world, but I digress. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I do this often, especially if the song is something I really like. I just recently took out my cd holder that I use to keep in my truck. I went through all of my old cd's and started listening to them one by one. I had forgotten that I had some of those cd's. There were several mixed ones as well as some that I had purchased. I got really happy and sang along with all of them! When I am driving I love to listen to music. I have several stations programmed in on my car stereo and I am always listening to something! I do sing quite often and if the song is good and has a great beat you might even catch me "dancing" in my seat! LOL!

I do not know if I would go so far as to dancing in my seat...okay that is a blatant lie. I am sure I have done that every now and again, if I really got into something. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yeah, when I know the song or love the beat then I try to sing along. I know my notes so I rarely loose tunes, I just can't get to the high pitch of some that I squeak and laugh at myself..

Yes, we do tend to get into the moment. I try to do it alone most of the times, due to the fact that I do not really want to subject people to my alleged singing. Still, one thing leads to another and I just cannot help myself. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

definitely, it's a big yes for me! I love singing and I do enjoy it with the radio. Even though I have the wrong lines sometimes. If I know the song I'll definitely sing along. It's a good way to be positive and be in a mood of reflection in singing along. Nice discussion megamatt!

Yes, I do that all the time while I'm in my car traveling to my destination. I'm a singer and that is basically where and when I get a lot of my practice in. I do it basically everyday. The scary part is I know the majority of the songs they play by heart. LOL

Yes, that can be terrifying knowing a lot of the songs by heart. Trust me, I know, given the fact I know way too many songs and can sing a fair amount of them off the top of my head. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yes I do sing along with the radio. Although others around me does not like it as my voice is not that good, I just keep singing. I sing every time the radio is on.

Well, yeah, those strange looks can be something. Of course, in the end, it matters only if you having fun. Plus if I worried about what everyone thought of me, I doubt I would do much of anything. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Usually I'll sing with the radio when I hear a song that I know all the words to.I don't care what I sound like.I don't know if I sound good or not.

Well, there are times where one person's good sounding singing can be the other person's eternal torment. So it depends on the experience of a person. I am sure there is someone out there that might enjoy by alleged singing. Don't know why, but there are all sorts. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I know the feeling. When the song comes on, I try to make en effort not to sit along and let people experience my voice. Still does not help, once that music hits, there is just a switch that comes on. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I'm a person who really loves music and singing. And yes, I do sing along with the radio, especially if it's playing a song that I really like. When I'm alone, I sing out loud. But if I'm in the company of other people, like in the office, I just hum to myself because it would be annoying on their part hearing me sing very loud. I don't want to be insensitive because I'd also be annoyed if that act is done to me. But it always feels great when you get to sing along with any song because it relieves stress and other negative feelings you have.

Yes, it does relieve a lot of stress for sure. It just is fun to sometimes unwind and relax. To sing along, even if you really have no musical aptitude at all. Of course, it is best to do it when no one is around but when the music hits, I really cannot make any promises. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I think listening to music in general does relieve a lot of stress. Still there is just something about singing along with the radio that puts me in a good mood. No matter how absurd I sound. And believe me, I can sound quite absurd. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well.

To be honest, there are times for me where I just randomly start singing. Trust me, songs tend to pop in my head and ruin my concentration. The fact is, I have not really heard them in years but they pop up. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Doesn't everyone? As I sit here writing this response I am listening to music and when a song comes on with words I know I sing along too. I enjoy music a great deal as I used to be in a band where I played saxaphone and did some singing. I also get odd looks when I am in public and I hear a song I know and like and start singing it. I cannot invision a world without music. How boring it would be. what about YOU?

It certainly seems like everyone does for the most part. With some exceptions obviously but for the most part. As for a world without music, that is a terrifying world to be sure. That would be completely awful. If you had to pick one nightmare world, that would be it. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
