You haven't mentioned if the 4 eggs are boiled simultaneously or they are boiled one by one, if boiled simultaneously 4 eggs will take 3 min. If boiled one by one 4 eggs will take at least 12 min to boil.
Actually that's the secret here! People who really don't use their brain will surely say 12 min to boil but the thing is why would we boil 4 eggs one by one!! So the correct answer is 3 min!!
