Have u heard of it before? I hadn't till i was talking to a friend of mine that lives in texas & he was telling me he buys it at a deli & it was one of his faves. After questioning him about it , he googled it & sent it to me because he really didn't have a recipe for it. Have y'all ever eaten it? As soon as i go to the grocery i'm going to get the stuff to make. It sounds yummy.

Hi Jo, Do you know what are the ingredients? Maybe I can concoct a simmil to it.. There are lots of things the you have in cans ready to use and we don´t have here. Sometimes I think it´s for the best. Now many people know nothing about cooking. hug!

I make a dry beans salad for barbecues. It is well sold: I never have leftovers there. It has cooked dry beans, diced onions (I use red onions if I can), diced parsley and tomato. I marinate it with vinegar and add salt, pepper and a bit of hot chile powder. YUMMY!!!

Hi A.L. I make almost the same thing and call it salsa with black beans..I dont use the black eyed peas because I don't like them. In any case, ite real good, especially after its sat a day and I suggest you make it a day ahead for max flavor. I also add garlic because I don't know how to cook without it!! Hope you enjoy it!!
