DEAD and BACK in 7 days.

have you ever thrust that the dead person will come back in /after 7 days?.. what is your experience? is it worthy to believe?it is sinful? in my country,this belief is still strong, whatever the faith the person is..after a funeral there will be a daily prayer for the dead to comfort or calm or to call the spirit of the dead to back home and then proceed to heaven or to God.mostly on the 7th day there will be a special prayer conduct to complete this ritual.on the 8th day all seem to be a fine things.

In Victorian times here in England rich people liked to get burred with a handle in their hands which operated a bell because there were incidents of coffins being opened only to find the fingers of the corpse worn away scratching at the lid!

This belief is still strong where you live? How? Has it ever happened? I can't tell what you're trying to say in the last part of your post either. Elaborate?

There's is nothing really wrong in believing in such belief. A superstitious belief has been a part of our culture and every part of the world has this. Here in my country the Philippines there is also some kind of belief the same or almost the same as yours but I am not really that familiar since I myself is not a superstitious person.
