Yes we have a landline phone here. three of them on the same line. two are cordless phones and one is a speaker phone. I like using the speaker phone becase the phone lies completly flat on the surface and the buttons are big and easy to use. the use of the speaker is good when you are conducting some kind of bussiness and do not want to put up the handset to your ear for a long time.

Yes, I have a landline and use my mobile phone only when out and about as I don't see it necessary to use when at home. I find that landlines are easier to use and clearer to hear the person speaking from the other side. We have cordless phones that are also hand's free so we don't have to keep them held to our ear when using them. _Derek

I have the land phone for my land line. I was thinking of canceling it, but I maintain it for my facsimile machine, and internet purposes. However, recently they have great promotion for land line to land line. Unlimited local land line calls per month with additional RM10 only. So, I am keeping it. My land line phone is just the normal type

No, we gave up our landline a few months back. My husband figured we were paying too much for it...and we had 3 cell phones at home which were giving us a better deal. And anyways, after the landline was taken off, our phone calls (for chatting) have reduced. The only disadvantage is the free intercom for the apartment that we have lost.

I have both a cell phone and a land line. I don't always get reception with my cell phone so it is necessary to have both.

I do actually still have my land-line. It is just one of those things that I can't bring myself to get rid of. I have a trac fone that is used for emergencies but my land-line is a constant. It always works. So I take it you took the leap and got rid of your land-line? do you miss it?

Hi Mitraa! Yes, I do have a landline phone too! It is not anything special to look at though! It is a cordless phone with one extension in the kitchen, which is also my office with my computer and the other extension is in my bedroom! I turn the ringer off in the bedroom so that if I am really sleeping it won't ring too loud, only ringing in the kitchen/office! If I am not totally sleeping I can answer it in there!

We have a land line at home although we use our mobiles most of the time because it works out cheaper on the phone plans we have. The only member of the family who occasionally uses the land line is our daughter because she can talk to her friends for hours!

My family moved into a house of our own a little bit over a year ago and when we moved into our house, we left our landline behind as well. Both my husband and myself have cellular phones so we really didn't see where it would be necessary to take on an additional expense. Since I was in college my cellular phone has been the number that I've had people to associate with me, so it would have been very confusing to have changed the phone number that I share with everyone. I really don't think in today's world that it is necessary to have a land line.

ah so you opted to for standard land line service? Some phones are nice indeed. What kind of phone unit did you get? I have not used one in a long time. Since cell phone is a primary choice lately, it has served a purpose.

Hello Mitraa. We still have landphones in our house though we have a few mobile phones in use. I think that landphones will still last a long time. In fact, at home or in the office, I prefer to use landphones. I don't feel comfortable if I hold my mobile phone next to my ear for a certain length of time, otherwise I will have a headache. I am glad to know that you use landphone as well.

Are you referring to a landline? I'm not really sure if that was it but we do still have it.
