Lately I began to like the song of Billy Ocean "The Colors of Love". This is quite an old song but I just love the lyrics and very meaningful to me. Maybe because it describes my longing for love, hahaha.
"If I have to paint a picture, to show the world how love can really be, I would put the brightest colors to create a vision of harmony, it would be a reality...tell me what is the color of love?how do you see, is it warm,is it tender?"
Oh gosh!it perfectly describes what are my longings right now and what's inside my heart and mind. How about you, do you have any special favorite and meaningful lyrics of the song and why?

There are a lot of songs that I can think of right now that are great for describing the way that I feel about things in my life. The first one that comes to mind is "My Next 30 Years" by Tim McGraw because I've just entered another stage of thirty years of my life and I see that there are a lot of things that I want to change in the next 30 years of my life. Another song that I really associate with is "What Do You Think About That" by Montgomery Gentry because our family isn't really concerned about what people think about the things that we have, we aren't trying to go through life with status, we just want to get through life with what we can afford and not acquire a lot of debt in the process.
For my daughter, I always think about the song "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride. I immediately think about Kathryn whenever I hear this song. For my son it is "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon.

I have this song - it was called Healing. I liked it from the time i heard about the song being played by a friend and it sure is a good song - It keeps your feet on the ground, makes you feel that you are always loved by God and yes, that we are of course going to heal no matter how difficult our life turns out to be at some point.

I like the lyrics of the song "Jesus takes the wheel".it let us reflect for all the sins we have committed which we never ask for forgiveness from God..it shows that we only realize are mistake when someone or something was already taken away from us..It shows how God loves us despite of our faults with Him..try to read the lyrics or hear the song it can leave you in tears after reflecting the words in it..

Hello,
Yes I love that song too from Carrie Underwood, very inspiring and very thought provoking, it talks about our faith and how we should trust God. That no matter what happens, it's Jesus who should take charge of our life, we are nothing without God.

There's this song called Stong Enough by Kina Grannis
And there's a line from it that goes
"I thought we'd found a harmony
A perfect match of melodies
No, but if you listen closely now
I've been singing all alone"
And it's really touching to me because I think it means that
sometimes we think that we have a meaningful connection with someone
but it's really just what we think and not the other person.

Hello Mickey,
Thank you for your response. I agree with you completely, yes, sometimes we assume that we have this special treatment and connection to the other person, but unfortunately it is not what the other person's think, it is sometimes the other way around, it hurts and it takes a lot of courage to accept the reality, but it happens all the time. I've been there once and I know how the feeling of being rejected and humiliated.

Hello Philtrate,
Thank you for your response. What a wonderful and meaningful lyrics you have. I think it describes how we are hopeful and optimistic about life, that everyday is a miracle and precious, that we should treat each other day as if it's our last day on earth by doing good, express love and affection. I think that's what life is all about and happiness always rely on how we perceive life in general. Thank you sir.
