The BBC reports, last week, France freed an Iranian engineer whom it had detained for the alleged illegal export of electronic parts for use by Iran's military. There are those that feel this was in exchange for the French citizen who was charged with spying because she took photos of the election protest by Iranians and then emailed them. The US had wanted to extradite Majid Kakavand, but a French court rejected the request last week and he was allowed return home. Smell Froggie to me. The Iranians will not release someone so easy, especially some from the West unless there was some substantial gain for the Iranians. Do not be fooled by the payment of the fine. The Iranians would not sell themselves so cheaply. What do you think? Does these two events have a relation?
