It is common for different countries to have their own folk lore.

In Ireland it is the leprechaun on the Isle of Man it is the fairies, I am interested to know if any of your countries have a folk lore that involves fairies, elves, trolls, gnomes etc.
While we know that these things are only fables and folk lore I think that it is very interesting to find out the history behind them.

I don't know much here that's different. We only have our own names for it, like for fairies we call them "diwata" and for gnomes "dwende". I was not much into these kinds of stories when I was a kid. I grew up on x-men, spiderman, superman, etc..
