England are the world champions...

England won the 2010 World T20 by beating Australia by 7 wickets. Australia struggled so hard with their batting at the start of the innings and finally managed to get a decent score of 147 which is never an enough score when it comes to T20. Chasing a small score, England players started dominating the Australian attack right from the start. Kieswetter coming at Number 3 scored a magnificent 63 of 49 balls including 2 sixes and 7 fours. Pieterson on the other hand, gave Kieswetter a good company and to built a partnership and set a good platform. In the last ball of the 17th over, England hit their winning run and started their celebration.
England hasn't won any major tournament over the years and today they became the T20 world champions. Thoughts please...

Ya,Finally England made it..I'm happy that australia lost the match..But in the woman's world cup Australia made it..I though newzealand will win their and make aussies down in both..Anyway I'm happy that England made it..And Kevin Pieterson is in great form..I'm a fan of him.He contributed well through the tour..Thanks to him.

Kevin Pieterson played well throughout the tournament and his effort turned out to be a major contribution to the English side. I didn't get the chance to watch the full match between Australia and New Zealand in the Women's crikcet but I was constantly updating myself with the score. Australia was out for a little over 100 runs and I thought Australia has almost lost. But wow! what a come back it was from Australia! They defended such a low score and came out victorious. I love the way Aussies men team came out to watch the Aussie woman team winning their title.

I really thought that Australia would be on a high after beating Pakistan the way they did in the semi-final..but I reckon it actually worked against them in the end. Looked a bit tired to me.
Anyway, I'm English so am chuffed to bits that England finally won a World Cup Final. Onwards and upwards now!
Let's hope the England football team do the same in their World Cup coming up shortly...can't see it though!

David Beckham, yes, we love him here. A National Institution my friend. It's a shame he cannot play in the World Cup because of injury but I think he is going...to rally the troops. He's good in the dressing-room I believe.
He is also in the middle of trying to secure England hosting the World Cup in 2018. I really hope we are successful in this bid...but we said the same about the last one and it went to the Germans.

Its very good thing happened.
The 1st WC for England.
they were one of the unlucky team to won the WC ,but now its the time for patrty for england.
Australians were in a such a great form,But it was the day of the English.
Iam very happy that Australia had lost the match.
Pieterson deserved the MOS,he played such a great knock in all matches.

Great tournament. Main thing is that England got First Ever Cricket world title. All players DID work hard and played with SO unity. Fielding was brilliant. Catches were also awesome. Strategies did work. Swan Bowling is great and major cause for getting world cup title. I am not from England, But i never saw England playing like this with so confidence. Openers are BOOM BOOM!! and hits ball everywhere. I am Really Impress from Swan,Pieterson and kieswetter performance. it is not fair if we ignore others name like Collingwood. His captaincy was Awesome in every match. In-fact all players impressive contribution did job for England. I don't think there was any fault of Australia in Final match. But it was England Strategy and hardwork who made England WORLDCHAMPION!

I think it's great that England have finally won an ICC Cricket tournament and performed extremely well to do this even if we did need a bit of help from a South African and an Irish player to do so. Having said that I'm always please to see England do well in any sport. Congratulations. I have mixed feelings on 20/20 cricket and loved it at the start and then went off it as there was too much and now don't mind it again. Having said that I think the 20/20 world cup should be at least every two years like football major tournaments so it's a bit more worthwile to win

big congrats to england.. they played exceptional innings when they bowled for first 10 overs.. those 10 overs chose the fate for australia..
