What does it take to take good photographs of kids? Geography. It takes patience to capture good photographs of kids because they are always on the move. However, staying on one spot and just waiting for something to happen is also a good strategy. This approach works because from the point of view of children, a photographer with a camera pointing in their direction is a curious site. And when such curiosity stirs the child to look in your direction, a classic portrait is the resulting photograph. This is a photograph in a busy charity event demonstrating that a tired photographer can still take good photographs by just pointing his camera from where he finds himself sitting.

That was a cute photo of the children in such an event. I tried taking pictures of them too and I was really hard up i taking good pictures of them because they're usually moving around and some were also shy that they're pictures be taken. I had pictures with them in the past and I was in the center and I never had a good smile because they're pushing each other. Anyway, it's still fun. I better try that technique to have good pictures of them.

Yup. Consider yourself lucky if you can take one good photo in a place filled with hyperactive children. Good thing most cameras now are digital because you really need to take a lot of photos just to get a few decent ones. So, it's really a numbers game. If you want to get a couple of memorable photos, you just need to take ten times as many photos with your camera. Of course, that where my staying-still-in-one-place strategy comes handy. You get less tired chasing the perfect shot, but instead, you apply a bit of reverse psychology and let the children come to you by pretending that you are doing something interesting. And when they do, you can surely take some interesting photographs one after the other.

If I try that strategy the kids might simply get bored to me and I might not have them smiling but I'll give it a try. I really want to have a digital camera and take a photos of them when they're playing. thanks for that suggestion
