Do you always have three meals a day?

Normally, people eat 3 times a day. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some people only have two meals. In my case, I can consider having only 2 meals in a day cause I dont get to eat a complete meal for breakfast. I get to eat a lot during lunch and dinner. I also eat in between meals so I dont go very hungry. How about you? Do you get to eat at least 3 times in a day or more than that?

Nowadays, I have two meals, I try to skip dinner, and instead eat PM snacks, cause I'm trying to lose some weight. LOL. Anyway, under normal circumstances though, I definitely have 3 meals a day, and have 2 snacks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Hehehehehe. Maybe that's why, I gained too much weight during the summer, and now I'm paying for it.

There are people who think the same way you do. My sister doesnt eat anything after 6 pm cause she is also on a diet. I am not sure if its effective. I eat dinner to cause I am not really very fat yet. But there are some restrictions cause I also dont wanna end up looking down and wont be able to see my feet.

Its the first time I read that word tiffin and reading you response made me understand what a tiffin is. I also eat more for midday meals. I also eat a lot for dinner but not very often cause I know its not good to sleep when your stomach is full.

I always have three square meals a day, I'm not really eating in between meals but I'm striving to develop that habit. They say that small meals all throughout the day is better than 3 huge portions. I know of a person who eat at least 6 times a day but don't really follow the time of eating. He eats a small breakfast, then another small portion prior to work, then lunch at about 12nn (since that's their lunch time), then chews some chips after lunch, then some portions after such, then another one before dinner, then a little dinner, then something prior to going to bed. I tell you, it's really crazy. But he's perfectly healthy and slim.

Wow! I know people who eat at least 5 times but not 6. That's too much for me. Maybe if I have that kind of lifestyle I am going to be very fat and I dont want that. I think 2 meals and snacks is enough for me.

I meant 6 small portions. Like one chicken drumstick only or 3 chicken wings for lunch. Then a piece of bread and tea for snacks. I doubt you'd be fat with that.

i only eat twice...its effective in saving money and making my self slim...hahahaha...i think the issue here is how much you eat per meal?

I didnt think about it that way but I guess you're right. lol Its indeed a good way to save money. lol Anyway, the issue isnt about how much you eat in a meal. The question is about whether you eat 3 meals in day. Like breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was wondering if there are people who eat 2 times only or 3 times as it is the best.

I think 3 meals a day is a good idea as your body needs fuel throughout the day to keep going. I am a member of Slimming World & they say even 5 meals a day can be healthy, as long as you choose healthy options, low fat, etc. Breakfast is definitely the most important meal of the day & your evening meal shouldn't be too late, more like 5pm than 9pm.

Most people are aware of that fact that breakfast is like the most important meal of the day. But there are still a lot who doesnt seem to do something about it. I am guilty of that too cause I dont eat breakfast as a full meal. A piece of bread will do for me and I eat a lot for lunch.

Sometimes I feel a bit sick in the mornings and just grab a piece of bread too, but I know I feel better if I eat something decent like 2 Weetabix with skimmed milk.

yes, actually i do have three meals a day especially if i have work in weekdays - now it is cereals in the morning and rice on both ,lunch and dinner. I think sometimes though, i would have in between meals! hehe

I eat cereal for breakfast before but there's getting expensive these days so I switched to eating bread. I also eat fruits in the morning but not very often. Its not important for me if I eat a complete meal for breakfast, as long as something is inside my stomach then I am good to go.

I try to do the 3. Though with having lil kids it feels like that's all everyone is doing half the day is munching and I can't handle eating much if I have been snack'n during the day with the kids. Though until I was pg with my kids I only ate maybe one meal a day & a snack and that was it. But as they say everything changes once you have kids.

When I would have my own kids, I am going to eat 3 times a day and let them know the importance of eating 3 meals a day. As of this point I dont have kids yet. I just want to teach them the same things my parents taught me when I was young. I also want to teach them to eat meals at a certain time. Maybe I am going to be healthy again when that time comes.

For me it just depends. Sometimes I eat breakfast and sometime I skip it. I do eat lunch and dinner and snack in between so I guess I;m never really hungry either.

There are times when I am really hungry and its usually during lunch cause I dont get to eat a lot for breakfast. I am not used to eating a lot for breakfast so I guess that's the reason why I become so hungry and eat a lot for lunch. This morning I ate chocolates for breakfast so its expected that I am gonna eat more for lunch.

I really don't know what my eating schedule is these days, it is very wacky. I just moved from Canada to Mexico and me and my boyfriend sleep in until like twelve noon, then when we finally do get up we eat lunch/dinner (they call it comida). Later in the day we might have a snack or some fruit then before bed we go out for tacos. The tacos excursion is an almost nightly event.

Wow! I love tacos and I wonder how tacos taste like it Mexico. Anyway, speaking about meals, I think it all depends on us when we are going to eat and we feel like eating. When we're hungry we can eat, when we're not then you also have a choice.

No not really. I don't have any set meal times. Basically I eat when I get up, whenever that might be. Then a few hours later I might grab a snack or something if I remember to or if I'm hungry. As night rolls around, I might make something for dinner, assuming I take a note of the time at a decent hour to still eat dinner.

Well, I think it depends on our preference and when we really want to eat. When we are hungry then we can eat. There were times before when I dont get to eat for dinner and I get hungry. I cant sleep if I am hungry so I always grab something.

I also depended my schedule before for me to be able to meat meals especially lunch. There was time before that I dont have break in my workplace that I just eat after my classes and it usually ends at 3 pm. That time I can really tell for myself that its not very healthy for me.

I am gaining a lot of weight lately and I am worried about that. I think I gain weight every month. I dont have time to eat in the morning and I eat a piece of bread most of the time. I think I should change my lifestyle.

the most important is the breakfast. It starts your day. The rest is your choice, whether 2 more times or just once more. Prefer eat 3 times a day

I usually take three meals regularly a day. It is the most healthy way of eating. I know a lot of people who just neglect breakfast and tend to eat more for lunch and dinner, which is actually a bad eating habit. Both undereaeting and Overeating can cause many problems. The correct way is having three meals a day with a little snack in between.

Its indeed a healthy lifestyle you have right there cause you eat your meals regularly. I am one of those people who are talking about who eat more for lunch and dinner. I know the fact that its not good but at least I get to put something in my stomach.

If the body needs it, then its rightful to give it what it needs. Food is a basic need and if the body is used to having 3 meals a day then we should have 3 meals a day and snacks as well.

Hello, No I dont eat three meals a day anymore. I did when I was a child, probably because I was forced to by my parents, which when your growing up is not a bad habit. I try to eat something in the morning and then again in the evening. If I eat a big meal during the day I just get sleepy, I think I'm just last actually. It is important to have food in the morning as it sets you up for the day ahead.Doctors are always going on about breakfast being the most important meal of the day. Unfortunately alot of people just dont seem to have the time to prepare a good filling breakfast, because of work and family commitments. If I am on holiday I do enjoy a cooked breakfast ie bacon, eggs, etc, but I would never have the time to do this normally. Happy, healthy eating....

I know what you mean. Being forced by parents to eat every meal. Now that we are older we dont do it anymore even though we know that its not good. lol I was also advised by my doctor before to eat breakfast even if its just a piece of bread or an egg. He said that after I was diagnosed of having hyperacidity.

no i dont have 3 meals a day, normally i have 2 (lunch and dinner), but sometimes i only eat a main meal in the evening... i used to eat lots, but i have cut right down now, and just have light snacks normally and 1 meal, as i find this is better for me.

Hmmm. In your case I think it has something to do more with preferences and what's better for us. I think that it also depends on what the body is used to cause the body will always adjust. Its a biological clock we have when its comes to meals.

The way your doing it is actually one of the best ways. Eating throughout the day small meals is the best way. I actually eat a little bit here and there throughout the day. Most importantly a big breakfast!

I eat a lot for lunch and dinner. I miss breakfast cause there's not time to eat it since I always wake up late. I am not a morning person so its hard for me to do that. Wake up early and eat breakfast. I'd rather sleep than eat so that's the kind of lifestyle I have now.

I know the fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but I am not a morning person so I dont want to wake up early just to prepare breakfast. I eat bread and sometimes a piece of egg but I dont like to eat rice and all that for breakfast. For me, what's important is there's something inside my stomach.
