I'm a member of a student organisation. Of course I don't get pay to do all kinds of projects and stuff but I think is very constructive to be part of something rather than stay at home and do nothing. What do you think about this? Do you think organisations/associations where people volunteer help them in any way or is just waste of time?

Earlier I was attached to a Social Welfare Organization that used to run a charitable dispensary for poor people and I, as a homeopath, used to treat those poor patients free of cost & the medicines were provided to them free of cost by that organization. But unfortunately, the organization is not functioning at present.

I belong to lots of organizations from disability tights, to GLBT rights, to woman's rights, to various charity organizations. Like you, I feel that a people will be better off doing something than nothing, even if they don't get paid for it.
