volunteering Idea

Well it's awesome that you want to volunteer over the summer..Mega karma points for you! There are so many non-profits out there that are always in need of people. I can't tell you of any organizations in YOUR area, as I live in Minnesota in the US. But I usually do Meals on Wheels for an organization called Open Arms, which benefits survivors in financial distress. I usually go once or twice a week (with a friend) and deliver food to these people. It depends on what you're passionate about. You could volunteer for a local humane society (if you're into animal rights), volunteer at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter (if you're passionate about homelessness/hunger), American Cancer Society, Red Cross.. If you're in high school or college, you can ask your counselor for ideas - sometimes they can be helpful (at least in college they are), otherwise I've had luck with www.volunteermatch.com - to at least give you some ideas.
