Hi Friends, I am becoming lazy everyday as there is no work in the office these days. I am going office everyday but doing nothing. It’s wrong that “Nothing is impossible”, I have been doing nothing from last one month. Suggest me something which I can do to get out of laziness?

Hi,Ajay, Sorry to hear that. But why did this situation happen?Did you think about the reason? Is it you boss that want to fire you in a indirect way? If all the answer to the questions is NO,there is nothing at all!You can use the time to improve your skill, study something you need, read some books you like or just have a rest! It is not lazy at all, just a rest!heh

Do you work in a team, or are you on your own in this office? If you work in a team you could come up with some ideas to boost each others moods, some challenges, games, play some music, anything has to be better than sitting around all day.

Hmm.. What do you mean "there's no work in the office these days."? Does this mean that your office is just paying you to sit around? That's odd. What's your work all about in the first place?

Well then. I think it would be better if you just did mylot for a while or did something like looking for other job opportunities. It's better to look for jobs when you don't need to look than to have to look when you need it most.

Legally I cannot work for any other company when I am employed with my current company. So no option left other than mylot but that is again, I cannot not access Mylot in office, its blocked. Thanks for the suggestion :)

I was in a similar position to you last year and then only did I found out about this site and everyday was a challenge for me to do more work in mylot and thus to have work in the office, I think you should be trying this out as it was working for me.

I am on Myloy for 2-3 hours and cannot extend more than that. I do not see many discussions of my interest that I can respond to. Probably I will start reading finance which I always wanted to do. Thanks for the response.

Hmmm. that doesn't sound good for many reasons. If the company has no work for you then they may decide to let you go as why should they pay you to do nothing! I'd try to find something to do, maybe there is another area of the company that could use your help. I'd also start thinking about getting another job since it doesn't sound like your company is doing very well and you might get laid off. I can't stand not having something to do so I always find something. Good luck!

No, should not let me go :(. Please do not wish that for me. That is just temporary and I will have work in coming days. I am not in India so will think about other options when I go back to India. Thanks for the response.

Learn some new things, something you are interested in. I had been in that time once. Just sit in the office doing nothing. Then some friends suggested me to read books or learn a foreign language. That really worked. I think you should find some interesting and full of knowledge books to read. That will not only help you kill your time but also increase your knowledge.

I don't know where you are working so I don't have the slightest idea of the working environment that you have there. Maybe if you have internet connection without limitations then you cn spend more time here in Mylot. In that way you can share your ideas and you can make your time worthwhile. You can also write some articles and submit it to different sites which would allow you to earn money too. Or maybe you can simply clean the office hehe. It's a joke. There are several ways to make your time worthwhile just be creative.

The same thing happens to me too as my project is nearing to closure. There is not much work and I spend most of the time at work working with Mylot. Anway, I am keeping myself busy with Mylot. I know that there is a good chance that I will become lazy and it will be hard for me to adjust when I immediately put into busy work. But, these things happen in life and you will get used to it.

when a project is near to closure there will be less work for sure but in my case the project has just started and thats the reason there is no work. I am sure there will be work in coming days. Thanks for the response.
