Playing with the injured knee and many doubted him to perform good in the game 1 of their series with the Suns. But he responded one more by scoring a game high 40 points, his 6th straight 30+ points in the playoffs. His greatness has been evident in many of his games. The injury did not slow down Kobe, instead, he put on a show.

Although Kobe is a great player, the Suns, Steve Nash is also a great player. In the game that eliminated the Spurs he played with one eye (the other eye had six stitches above it). He made baskets and coordinated his teams play as though he was not injured. I don't remember his points, however he played phenomenal. Many other NBA players have played with injuries.

Thank you for responding. I think the Lakers will ultimately go forward, although I would like the Suns to be in the final playoffs.

Kobe is the man on a mission and I cant wait that the Lakers will face the Celtics in the finals. The Lakers is a championship team and they are the defending champions, so they are hard to beat. maybe Steve Nash has 2-3 years more to play in the NBA to enter into the finals and capture that championship.

Steve Nash also deserves to be called one of the great players. Not only playing with an injury, he also played with all hearts out. But in game 1, he was contained by the suffocating defense that the Lakers give. But Nash will bounce back with not as an impressive showing in Game one.

For me, the greatest player in A is Michael Jordan. Anyone following his greatness always compared to Jordan. He set the standards of what greatness is.

without a doubt, kobe bryant is a great player. he has been MVP and won championships. he plays his heart out every game. he is very passionate with the basketball. i think the lakers are poised to advance and win another one this year, successfully defending their title. i hope his injury heals. but great players do not make injuries their excuses. they just play, with or without injuries.

Kobe Bryant was superb in that game playing with an injury. He is better than Lebron in terms of will to win. No offensement to all Lebron's fans, he gives up easily. That's the reason why Kobe and his team is in Conference finals. Lebron is 5 steps backward than Kobe.

According to Charles Barkley he is peaking in the playoffs. He is more a mature player right now compared to the other years. He gets his teammates involved and look at their confidence from Gasol, Odom, Bynum, Artest, Farmar, Brown. They work as a cohesive unit. No wonder he is mr playoff basketball, he can close out games when needed.

Kobe Bryant is indeed one of the best players today. And I think he's more mature now than before. That was a really good game for Kobe. He needs to play like this every time to increase their chances of a back-to-back championship.

Kobe will have to assert himself in every game. Even if they captured the title last year, he do not seem to slow down, instead, he is hungrier now to capture the 2nd straight title. I don't really idolizes Kobe so much, but I feel that his passion to the game is very evident on how he plays every game in the playoffs.
