Every country in the world has a system of guidelines for justifying punishment. Certain circumstances and situations call for more extreme measures than others. What would you consider to be a form of cruel and unusual punishment?

I think beating somebody with stones is the greatest punishment. Earlier they were throwing a person in crocodile pond. These are barbaric and I do not like such punishments to prevail.

Stoning is one of the earliest forms of cruelty. I can not imagine being on the receiving end of this. I had never heard of the crocodie pond. It certainly would not be a plave to be. Thanks for responding.

Hanging someone by the noose around the neck and letting him fall through the trap door I suppose is the cruelest of all punishment. I saw on the net Saddam being executed and the scene remained fresh in my mind for a long long time.

This punishment has been around for the longest time. It is not a sight to behold at all. Thanks for responding here.

the punishment is cruel and unusual when the person being accused was deprived of his/her right to defend himself in front of a capable and proper court.. Such situations that happen in a justice system of a certain country is by itself cruel and unusual.
