Some of you have introduced new friends to mylot and I have search new user to find them, You request we consider them for new friends and I am willing but I don't know how to contract them before they start a discussion? I want to help but just don't know how? Like everything else here it is most likely easy to do, but I need help. Thanks

If they joined as your referral then they are automatically added to your friend list - though the notifier concerning their started discussions is set to 'off' and you must put it to 'on' manually. If they are not on your friend list then, if you know their usrrname, you can place: http://www.mylot.com/username in your browser and their profile will show up.

I don't think it is supposed to be 'off' but it is one of those things that got overlooked during the upgrade. At least we can be aware of it

Maybe the only way to contact a newbie is to wait for their maiden post and from there we can request for their friendship.

I just go to the friend who made the request and find their friend's name on their friends list then make a friend request. It's a bit of a gamble, as they have no discussion or reply history, but I can always turn them off if they end up being a one-liner discussion fan or post content I don't like reading.

I think your idea will work, I also look at my friends list every 3 or 4 months and delete the ones that are not doing anything or have left. Thanks

Other than sending a PM with the link, I don't know... Some people have their friends lists organized newest to oldest and you can figure it out from their profile, but others not...

i see no other way to look for new users to add to our list if we don't know their username. we can only see new users at the new users discussion tab if they already posted their first discussion.

You can always contact them through messages this is what I do to keep in touch with them, then you decide later on where you want them to contact you, its easy and its good to learn every time here in mylot.
