A thought came into my mind while we were driving home this afternoon. I want to earn some extra cash so I can go home to the Philippines on January and while listening to Regine Velasquez singing 'Pangako' I thought... maybe I could become a wedding singer. All my friends say I sing well and I get fans whenever we sing in karaoke bars but I know I'm not that good to join singing contests... so the only way I can make money by doing the thing I love most is to sing during events and weddings. What do you think guys? Is it a good idea?

wedding singers make money. not a lot but enough money to continue what you like doing as a hobby I've done this a couple of times and i've made at least 5000.00 (Philippine pesos) per gig Now when you have accompaniment like some instruments violin and keyboard you usually make more when i do wedding events i usually have a pianist and a violinist while i play guitar and it nets us around 12 to 15k per gig we play for about an hour or 2 eat and then meet more people which leads to more gigs it's a great gig if you put time and dedication into it

This is very good because even nowadays we seek for singers in marriages and I also want it in my marriage though because it is lovely and very much appreciable so its a good job too and if in your country it pays good then go for it.
