Have I got a treat for you history lovers! here is a 2700 yr old burial in a mesoamerican pyramid! Some interesting pix, too. I think its really interesting what they keep finding as they explore these old ruins in the Americas. How about you? does this old stuff keep you coming back for more like me? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100518/ap_on_sc/lt_mexico_pyramid_tomb

We watch a lot of pyramid finds types of shows, my husband and I. It's very interesting. Amazing how there is something new to be learned every time. I don't think our burials will be facinating years from now.

A-i-w, can you imagine trying to solve the mystery of why there are suddenly no coffins? Did they stop burying them in coffins? Did they bury them in paper or cloth? Who knows what people with think is interesting about us years from now?

Thank you very much for best response. For a while people were buried with either nothing or else just a wedding ring if it wasn't passed down to the children. Maybe we should bury people with Teddy Bears, symbols of their Faith, something.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday. "They" never show enough photos to satisfy my curiosity. Another group of "they" found ancient clay coffins in Cypress... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100519/ap_on_re_eu/eu_cyprus_ancient_coffins

Yep sensitive subject. Even with 2,700 year old bones, apparently...

I always enjoy historical stuff. I think it is fascinating. My favorite time period is around the Revolutionary War when the US won our Independance from England but I am interested in all history.

I am BORED with "American" history. I mean, they give it to us, and then a couple of years later, more history - the same stuff! And then AGAIN, MORE American history!!! I like OLD stuff. The OLDER the BETTER! Or, as I said to my mom when we went to the British Museum when we got to the middle ages - "That's it, I'm done."
