I was trying to do a little exercise this morningbut I realized that I can barely bend down and touch my toes anymore. Yesterday I had to run for the bus and I was huffing and puffing....."No I'm not overweight and I quit smoking 2 years ago". I'm in bed by no later than 8 pm on a Friday night and ready to get up by 1am....they say when you get older you don't need a lot of sleep. I roll around till I finally get up around 3am on my day off. Any signs of old age attacking you?

Hi missybear! No visible physical signs yet, but I just feel that I'm getting old when all my friends want to go out to this huge dance festival to party, and I would rather stay home to watch movies or just have a good dinner with my husband. Maybe you're not really getting old, or maybe you just need more activities to pump you up or get a new hobby maybe? In this day and age more and more people I know are getting more health-conscious. Biking, running, etc.. and I want to be a part of it too. When I was younger I really couldn't care less. :)

Hi missybear, you can't go barefooted........up two about three years ago I went barefooted all the time when I was home and now I need something on my feet at all time (summer, spring, fall and winter) or they hurt. Take care Snow

i realise that i am starting to get old when i start to forget things... :-) i used to have a very good memory... it's not that i am that forgetful already now... it is just that i realise that my memory had deteriorated a bit as my age increases... this is not a good sign, isn't it??? :-( take care and have a nice day...

You know your getting old when You put your teeth in a glass every night. You look for your glasses and they are on your head. When it takes you twice as long to do what you used to do twice as long. You have to get up at least twice every night to go to the loo. You know your getting old when your favorite tv show or movie gets to the most interesting part and you close your eyes and the show is over.

Actually a person is only as old as they feel and act. but we do wear out sooner than we like.

hahaha!!! most people don't accept that they are getting old. Age doesn't matter if you have a healthy life style. There are many who are already in their 80's but they are still strong and can run like younger people. They are just careful with their diet and they have lots of exercise.

You're right about that but it would be so much nicer without the aches and pains

Not yet sweetie, but why don't you just take it slow with a small amount of exercise in the morning. By the time you have to run for the bus again, you won't have to huff and puff anymore. And for the sleep, change your hours, that should help a bit. TATA.

Hi sweetie. Well, the shoes can make a difference, but the toe part. Keep it going, you'll get there without hurting anything. TATA.

Heyya missybear! I do a lot of stretching and that helps with the muscles and being limber. I have noticed a few things though. My neck and back ache sometimes. I am also much more willing to take a nap than ever before..lol..I don't get a chance to do it as much as I would like though.

The reason for not getting your body bent to touch the toes is to say that you are not accustomed to exercise, and may be to be fit you might have started. If a regular practice of doing exercise is there then it is very easy to touch the toes and also we can rest our head between the knees. A very flexible pose/ Age doesn't matter here only practice matters - well yes by natures command (process) we get old but if we are habituated to have positive thoughts then we are young until our last breath.
