This is a reminder that tomorrow is the first annual draw Muhammad day. So if you have not drawn you picture please do so. Also it is one thing the draw the picture but it is a whole nother thing to make it visible. So to everyone who is going to take a stand for free speech please post you picture somewhere, like here on mylot, facebook or where ever you want to. More places the better. As to the drawing most computers have some kind of art software preloaded. Make a stick figure or what ever your imagination comes up with. Understand tomorrow will be the last day that free speech is threatened. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Everybody-Draw-Mohammed-Day/121369914543425 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApmnezyPSMc&playnext_from=TL&videos=n2CYvRvoFIM

Whatever the founder of the Group says, its existence is a vehicle of racial and religious hatred and prejudice. It is NOT a valid exhortation of 'free speech' (whatever that is) nor is it a demonstration of Freedom of Speech. The Group may not set out to disrespect Islam or its beliefs but, by accepting and acknowledging images which are blatantly hateful and disrespectful it is itself being offensive and hateful. It may seem to some to be a harmless joke but, in fact, it is nothing but the cruel jokes and innuendoes of the school playground raised to the power of n.

Hey Gewcew...can you answer this one for me....It is illegal according to the Muslim religion for there to any pictures of Muhammad. Ok...well that is according to their religion...so the rule applies to Muslims...right? So why does the rest of the world have to follow their religions rules? We shouldn't. Those rules don't apply to us? Why? We are not Muslim. I mean come on...does everyone have to follow the Catholic's rules wether they are Catholic or not? No. Or any other religion? Of course not. So the only the people who are NOT allowed to draw Muhammad are the Muslims....Right? The rest of us can draw all we want. Just wondering...that is my train of thought on this whole thing.

Well Lilwonders you are right, but I do remember watching a youtube clip of a Muslim claiming that we are all Muslims and everything is Islam. DeistPaladin created this upload, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10BAGudImNE&feature=related And Luciddreams234 responded with this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDP0uAJXCmc&feature=watch_response So using that logic we all have do obey Islamic law. Of course I refuse.

Ok....so has anyone notified teh pope he is now muslim? I am sure won't take nicely to it. Or the rest of the world? I am sure the Baptist won't take nicely to being told that either or any other religion. But seriously I refuse too. I am not Muslim so I do not have to follow Muslim laws. I do not live in France...so I don't have to follow the laws of France. Each person follows the laws or rules of the country they live in and the religion or group they volunterily decide they want to be a part of. It is times like this I am soooo glad I am an American. I may complain about our politicans. I may complain about some of our laws...but as a woman..I am SOOOOOO glad I am an American. I don't do well with the whole "you are a second class citizen" thing. I don't do well with being told what to think and do. But I am sure you have noticed that by now. LOL.

I have been critical of mylot in the past but I am impressed that my post has not been deleted. I find it funny how I am defending free speech, those that do not believe in free speech want to stop me from using my natural right. What do you think Lilwonders, they seem to be proving my point don't think? I don't do well with the whole second class citizen logic either.

You really deserve big thanks for reminding this "great" day when you have drawn pics of our beloved Holy Prophet(pbuh)and have caused lot of hatred in whole the Muslim world. This clearly shows how much educated and civilized you people are....Our religion teaches us to love and respect all the Prophets of God Almighty including Moses,Jacob and Jesus(all pbuh)but you people can only hate our Holy Prophet(pbuh),who has advised us to give all our lives and loves to Jesus(pbuh)on his second coming.......when he will come down from Heavens at Damascus,Syria and lead us in a Holy war against the last Antichrist. And according to the final Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)all those persons who will fight this war under Jesus(pbuh),will go to paradise........Do not worry most of the Muslims have already deleted their Face Book and you Tube accounts yesterday and our government has also blocked these sites for all the citizens.......Well done,Keep it up !!

I respect Muslim beliefs, but if you are in America we have the freedom of speech, even if it is against another religion. I am not for hate speech or anything like that, but here in America you can make jokes about other religions and other people. I mean, even the KKK is still allowed to hold rallies, so if they can do that then here in America we can draw pictures of a prophet that we don't even know what he looks like. I mean, it is like telling people to draw god or Jesus. Since there is no actually photographs of either of them, there are paintings of Jesus but they all have differences in the way he looks so it can't be said that any one picture is 100% accurate, then this is just drawing your INTERPRETATION of the prophet Muhammad. Muslims do not have to partake. No one is asking them to. They don't have to look at the pictures. I might draw a picture and title it Muhammad. It might be Muhammad Ali, it might be my friend Muhammad, it might be a character named Muhammad from a show I watch. They don't know. You don't know. Its just an interpretation of someone I have never seen and don't know what he looks like. So in fact I am NOT drawing a picture of the prophet if I don't even know what he looks like. And how could anyone prove that I did draw him if they aren't supposed to know what he looks like either? Unless it is the fact that we are giving him human features and everything, but is he supposed to be above being a human? Because he was just that, a human. I still respect Muslim beliefs and if I was in their place of worship or in a Muslim country I wouldn't disrespect them. But even here in America people have the freedom to wear a shirt that says "I hate America!" if they wanted. Sure they would get their butt kicked and it would be stupid for them to wear it since they live in America, but we have these freedoms to do so. Even the American Muslims who say they are not threatening people but are using "free speech" to say threatening things about people who are going to draw Muhammad. So they are being hypocrites by trying to hide behind the same American freedom that they are trying to threaten other people against.
