Earlier this week, I received two electronic bills/confirmation email from the same online store in my emailbox. Both of the bills were between $500 and $1000. Now, one of the emails was addressed to someone with my last name and had the same first name inital as me but it wasn't me. The other person's name wasn't even close. Both of these people lived on the other side of the country and I've never heard of them before. i've never heard of the online store before. When I tried to reply to the store though, telling them their mistake, I got a notice from yahoo saying that had given up trying to deliver the reply because it does not exist. Now I find it weird that an online store would find my email, send me someone else's confirmation email/bill and their return email is not functioning.
Has this ever happened to you? What do you think about that?

That has never happened to me but be careful. It sounds pretty sketchy. There are scams out there that send us e-mails enticing us to open and respond. Some, just opening them will send a virus into your computer and enable the sender access to all your passwords. not trying to scare you but there are a lot scams out there

Hi, vjenkins86. No. This has never happened to me. I think that the company got you mixed up with someone else. It does not sound so right. Do they have a number that you can call? If so, it is best that you call them and tell them your side of the story. Find a way to get into touch with this company. If they don't have your Social Security number then they can't charge you for this bill. And if they don't have your physical street address then you can't be charged due to this either. I hope that this company gets this bill straightened out.

it has never happened to me..
but i guess that online store might have disabled receiving mails for that id. they might have got other id. try to find out that id. the best way is to search the web by that store name. i guess you can find someother id which they use for customer support.

It happened to me, though not bills, but bank's email. I have received two or three emails regarding an account in one bank. It is meant for a person with the same last name as me. I don't know how they make a mistake like that. In my case, I have a theory. When that person opened an account with them, he just filled in my email thinking he would register that user id. I don't know. Just a theory.
