Yes, Med lies that don't hurt others can be tolerated. However it should not be too much and should be within limits.

Yes, Ajay, I also avoid telling lies to any one whether it is a man or woman. But sometimes I have to lie when it becomes inevitable.

I read from somewhere before that girls talk more than guys in a day. If guys talk less than girls but yet lie more, it says a lot about the male population.
I think both guys and girls lie for the same reasons - to make themselves look good, to avoid consequences, for fun.. and etc..

I don't think it's fair to generalize and say one gender or the other lies more. Those surveys depend on the sampling and even with a wide sampling, they aren't going to get a completely accurate response. For instance, who is to say that people aren't lying on the survey? People should be looked at individually. Not by their gender.

I do agree Jaluke that both men and women lie a lot but who lie more is what I wanted to know. I think women seem to lie less than men and this is my opinion only.

hi vijayanths I think men do lie more and that's
because they are usually lying about their income and perhaps their success with women, while woman usually lie about their age and their weight, and their boyfriends at times. A clue to when someone is lying is when they keep putting their hand over their mouths as though to protect themselves I guess. Men lie to protect their macho image while women lie to make men think they are younger and more attractive so they can snag a man. +

yes, hatley, when people lie they can't look straight to the other person. I think both men and women lie to prove that they love only their partners and have no interest on others. Men lie more but women lie cleverly.

Cant say much about the survey result but in my opinion its depends upon on your personality not on your gender. some people general lie more and some people are honest you can not blame one gender for lying more so in my opinion gender difference is nothing to do with the lie.

Umerali, I think men and women are different in their thoughts and views about life etc. In general men seem to lie more and this is my opinion.
