I spent 4 years and so much money (that it makes me sick) on an education at a great university and it means absolutely squat thanks to the economy and the current job market. GPA and the difficult courses I slaved over mean nothing compared to years of experience and having dependents and connections. Can I get a refund please? lol Too bad colleges cant give you a job along with your diploma. Oh well.

I agree with you and I haven't even graduated yet! I'm still a year away from graduation and I'm wondering if this next year is even going to be worth going through. I'm going into web design and I've been looking into entry level positions around here and even ENTRY LEVEL positions want at least a year of experience in the field. I'm like...ummm...that's not really entry level. o_0 Not to mention that if I can't get an entry level job then there's no way for me to get experience except for an internship and I can't afford to work 30 - 40 hours a week for free around my current full-time job. Except for some degrees, a lot of jobs with degrees are getting harder and harder to get because people only want experienced candidates, so those of us coming fresh out of college have trouble getting into the field and it really does stink.

I know how you feel. I'm close to graduating with a degree in human resources mgt. I feel like I have wasted so much money that I will have to pay back and that I would have been better off going to a community college and getting a techinal degree. I read that students with internships get more jobs but how many people can afford to work for free? There are no entry level jobs. When did one year experience become required for an entry level job. I hope the economy gets better but I don't see it happening so I'm going to try my best to make money online because the real world as they say can't be depended on. College is a ripoff.

Sorry to hear that. I think a refund will be a difficult one since you have finished your 4 years that right? However, you may try. I am not from USA, can't help you much. Hope other USA memebr can help advise. GOod Luck!
