Hello avilovesnature I think it's not fair to compare both these players with each other. Both have their own styles, strengths and weaknesses. Both are amongst the best players in world cricket.

Hi avilovesnature, This is an interesting observation from you.Yes,there are lots of differences between the two batsmen, but I think some similarity exists. Firstly, the back-lift of the bat prior to delivery.I think it's pretty similar. Secondly, batting wise, both play the pull shot very well. These two are the two that I can think of at the moment, what else can you add to it?

I don't think anyone of those two copying each other. Both of them have unique batting styles. Ponting is very powerhitting sometimes other than his pure techniques while dravid lacks that. Dravid is a more elegant player who rather prefers to hit ball on the ground, but ponting is going to big shots more often than Dravid. Powerwise Ponting is the better one.

dravid made 50 of 21 balls and ponting has made 29 centuries in test so is it all about power.
