Hi Friends, Sleep is necessary for everyone. I would like to share some points about benefit of sleeping. Sleeping reduces strokes. We should sleep for 7 to 9 hours every day to keep out heart wealthy. Meanwhile sleeping reduces the possibilities of cancer and also it reduces stress. Also it looks the depression. So sleep for minimum 8 hours a day and keep your body as healthy and wealthy. Happy Mylotting. Have a nice day.

Although I know that a normal person should sleep at least 8 hours a day, but there are suggestions that 6 hours for adult people are enough. So I have to sleep no more than 6 hours each night. The problem with this is that at around 1pm the next day, I feel sleepy and need to take a nap for a few minutes, then I'm ok.

Well i doesn't think about it. But it will increase the chances of stroke. So why we need to give chance for stroke, we will sleep for some more time and have a healthy life.

Ya, even if a person sleep for 8 hours, everyone feel sleepy at afternoon. I don't know the reason for it.

I read somewhere that for adults 6 hours of sleep is enough. 8 hours is ideal but if you sleep up to nine hours it may cause different kindof health issues like diabetes, headache and alot more.

I don't know about it. But sleeping for long hour doesn't cause any head ache. It cures problem like head aches and vomiting.

I used to sleep 8 hrs every day may be 5 to 6 years back but now only 5 hrs. I think with growing age the sleeping hours keeps on reducing.

Yes,I agree, tired body ( due to work ) needs more rest . But age too is a factor to reduce the sleep. As a person grow old even 4 hrs sound sleep is sufficient to keep him fresh through out the day.

Not with the growing age, growing work i think so. But we should think also about our health and we need to take care of them. So try to sleep for more 3 to 4 hours a day.

Well, sleeping is solution for some problems. That too, we need to sleep maximum of 9 hours per day. If we continue to sleep more than 9 hours, it will lead to some problem and we need to find the solution for those problems.

Hi Cognoscentethelegend, WOW! Sleep do a lot of great help to our health, don't they? Not everyone able to have a full 8 hours sleep, what should they do then? I will try to sleep for 16 hours and I think it will help me to gain faster and stay healthier.

Well friend, sleeping helps to overcome problem like depression and stroke. But too much of sleeping will lead to some other problems. So have maximum of 8 to 10 hours per day.

During school days, my parents wake me up in early morning and i can't have a good sleep. But during college days, nearly me and my friends had minimum of seven hours sleep. But now , i had 6 to 8 hours sleep.

Six hours of sleep can make one functional and eight hours of sleep is considered ideal. One needs sleep and rest to stay generally healthy.

I usually try to sleep between 7 and 9 hours a night. If I can't get that many hours, then I try to at least get 6 hours of sleep a night. I know that if I get less than that, I find that I can't function as well I could with a little more sleep. But that's how I find that my body works.

Yes, you was correct. Lack of sleeping will lead to vomiting, head ache and tired. And also we are always looking to take rest and we can't concentrate on our work.

I don't get enough sleep everyday. as much as i wanted to sleep, i can't. i have been going through a sleep disorder for years. i usually get 5 hours of sleep everyday... i am hoping and praying that i would be able to sleep 8 hours a day when i go back to school this coming semester.. i am not allowed to get stressed because i am diabetic...

I sleep up five to eight hours daily and sometimes I might even be sleeping less than fivehours, I know doctors recommend you eight complete hours to gain enough energy and rest to the body but I just cannot sleep for this long because I get tired and then my sleep will break off many times. There is once or twice where I did not sleep at all for the whole twenty four hours and even the next day I don't sleep but then it is not a problem for me because I can read a book the whole night.

I sleep 8 hours a day, the right amount of hours but there are situations when i have to sleep for 5 hours or few, sometimes i don't sleep at all and it's cuz of schooling. But i make it up during weekends. I sleep almost all day. :)

Hi, Well I get to sleep for 7 hours max in the night. But I would prefer 8 hours sleep. 8 to 9 hours is fine for healthy body and mind. Only then you would be able to concentrate on your work. Sleeping surely reduces stress. People with good eating and sleeping habits live long and have a healthy life. They don't fall sick often.

hello there. :-) I am a mother of two girls ages 3 and 2 months old. both of them often woke up at the most odd of times. I often has to wake up and check on them every now and then. i don't get sleep during day time because i spend the time doing chores or reading or writing. In a nutshell, i am sleep deprived and as a mother , sleep is a luxury for me... ?I know though that lack of sleep is not good for the health and therefore can contribute to bad skin and old age look. isn't good for beautification.:-)

I sleep 6-8 hours a day. In which about 2 hour in day time on some days.
