recently i confront an arrogant colleague, she looks down on the colleague, and often ask some prejudiced question to present how excellent she is,and in fact, these colleague are not like what she thought.what's worse,a little experience of working and a higher degree become her capital to communicate with others.how do you deal with such situation if you suffer from it.

I had a similar colleague like your too and believe me it was very difficult to work with her because every time I bring a new idea she will crop up and tell me that she knows better as she has a lot of degrees and so on. I preferred to ignore completely and stopped giving ideas so one day the boss call me and told me that I am not participating so I told him everything about my colleague and then he took a decision which let me free, I was chosen to work with another unit and he even told me that many are having the same problem with her.

So, you had a engaging situation! To deal with colleagues who tend to be arrogant, takes some efforts. You have to be patient and face the reality.

all you can do is be polite to her as long as she works there. of course, not everyone you work with is going to be your friend, some people think they are all that but unfortunately, you still have to work with them.

WE just had some changes at a job where I work part-time. The new girl is like this. I think with her it's just personality so I am trying to just dismiss her actions and her words. I also try to only engage in conversation when it is absolutely necessary otherwise I only speak to be polite.
