If you became a Millionaire Would you still use online money making sites?

May 21, 2010 1:09pm CST
I thought about this subject and came to the conclusion that I would still use these sites. The reasoning is that I think I could earn a nice second income which would mean that there would be something coming in which would help me save as well as spend money on the things that anyone who became a Millionaire would do.

I honestly am not sure that I would, but I really cannot say for sure unless I was actually in the situation. Right now this is my only source of income so it's a must for me. I obviously wouldn't be too tight on money if I were a millionaire and I don't think I'm the type who would just be able to blow all of that money.

Thanks for the response. I too think I would not blow all the money but I feel that the reason I would stay on is because I would still have a decent stream of income which I could save alongside my wealth.

22 May 10

I would still come here, I don't know how often I would as I probably would reduce my targets and goals. I wouldn't leave just because I didn't need the money which mylot pays, I don't really need it now but it certainly helps. I just really enjoy the banter and friendly feel that this place as and this would still be here if I was to be a millionaire and so I would still come. Though I might not declare I am one. ;)

I would still earn here just for the extra little bit of money. It would be a nice cushion. I would have my husband quit his job though, and the money I made here would probably go towards a nice addition to the house. Like one big apartment room, another kitchen, another bathroom, bedroom area, and living room area. The living room area would have those Chinese or Japanese things that people hide behind to change clothes.

I think it would also be more enjoyable because you'd still be saving for the money and it'd be a good thing so as to still keep disclipined even with so much money. I say additions to the house because right now my husband and I are currently living with his parents, and if we just made an addition to the home we could still live here and be there for them when they are older.

I think that sounds like a very good idea because it would stop someone going mad and just changing everything in their house even if they moved into a new one. If you actually put some money aside for this kind of thing it would work well and would be more managable.

I would still be on mylot I know..... People that win the lottery are sometimes not smart..... I know someone that got $300,000 and was broke by 2 years ..... That is ridiculous...They just go crazy and do not know the value of money..... I would definitely invest some of the money to take care of me later in life....... I would be very particular on what I buy though.

You really need to be sensible even with a million.... Some people just blow it and spend like crazy having nothing to show for it..
23 May 10
If It was something like $300,000 then you would need to make sure you were even more sensible than with a Million.

It depends on how much I am enjoying my online money making activities. If I enjoy working on a site more than the site gives me in money , definitely I would continue to do that no matter how much I earn by other means. Why not?
23 May 10
Yeah good response, I always think you could check back now and again and see what the sites are like and see if they still interest you and are worthwile.

I think maybe I would still do some online earning. Id maybe pay more attention to those sites where I can do some editiing/upgrading and leave it to earn whether or not Im online. Even now that I am not a millionaire I find it difficult to get up everyday or often and not find something to do in my down time. I guess millionaires have or can create a lot of down time. Who knows.....

Hey, a million is not as much asit used to be. I think i would always keep trying to earn online.
23 May 10
I agree and if you didn't spend it wisely it would all too soon be gone. That's why I feel you would need an income stream coming in to balance it out.

Uhm, maybe not hehehe, because I would be able to buy online with my millions and put balance on my paypal account without the aid of online sites hehe.
23 May 10
Thanks for the response, A paypal account may actually come in handy if you came into a lot of money as you could keep some in there which was seperate from your other accounts so you could manage your money and have some spare.

yes why not millionaires have more free time to use net, and its also important to earn more money , to keep yourself a millionare hehehe
23 May 10
A good point, I think it would allow you to plan better and not become someone who spends their money too quickly. I have heard of lottery winners who have blown a load of money even before they have received the money so they have to pay off a credit card debt as soon as they have the money.

i really don't know. maybe i would put my attention to other ways to earn money if i became a millionaire, and i won't have enough time to be on internet. but i am interested in makeing money online, it's a way i live. but who know if that happened, just a dream.
23 May 10
I do think it's a good thing to think about as too many people go over the top when they receive a lot of money quickly.

I properly bought some properties and rent it out to earn more income. In my country , properties are the few things where the value will stabil or increase in value.Buying other things like cars and such will only suffer depreciation .I don have mind to start business properly will bankrupty and close shop. Yes , i will continue to blog to earn money i guess since this is my new hobbies.
23 May 10
I think Property can be a great investment but you need to make sure that you would be able to get a regular rented income as a lot of people can struggle when they do this kind of thing.

Personally, I think the Internet it fun and can be very illuminating. So yes, I would come and use money-making sites, just for the challenge to prove to myself that it is possible to make a living on line whilst helping other people to do the same. _Derek

yes I would. I only use online money making sites for fun. I found it relaxing and keep me from sleeping when I am tired. Being a millionaire does not mean you are loosing the real life. It still be there as it was before.
22 May 10
And the good thing about these money making sites is that you can have them on in another tab while you are surfing the net.

If I became a millionaire why would I spend my time on money making sites????? How much money does one actually need? I'd be on a beach somewhere drinking mai tai's! lol. Of course I'd invest enough to give me residual income perpetuating my millionaire status but that's it.
21 May 10
You raised a good point there, I think money can change people though and too many expensive holidays could end up being the wrong thing to do.

A million isn't enough to stop but maybe the time would be better spent working out the best places to invest it. I would definatly spend the same or more time making money because I want to spend several millions with the retirement I have planned.
22 May 10
I think a million would be a great amount to be able to use some to invest, I agree it's not quite enough to just stop and not care.
