Is that possible to go to Singapore to land a job. Actually, I'm planning to go there and look for a job. Not the traditional way of securing first a job order from the Philippines. I will venture alone. I hope I can make it. How is it?

It is very possible Adeena. I know many Filipinos who went to Singapore and landed a job there. If you really wanted to go there and work, I think you should research first about the country and the possibilities of finding a job you wanted. There are many POEA licensed agencies which can help you to work in Singapore. I think there are lots of job offerings for Info Technology professions there.

If you believe you can do it, then you can do it! Of course you need to plan and work on it to make it possible. Success is in your hands! Good Luck!

lols. you are asking for moon. for that, you have to contact NASA. and, it costs you millions of dollars. for finding a job, why should you go to SINGAPORE? ... venturing alone is not a good idea too. Because, you need some god-father sort of support. I will suggest, .. first be successful in a job at home.. then, try expanding. goodluck.

find a job in singapore, is a good idea, some of my classmate land a job over there after graduating from school, their pay is good, but they also find the job by traditional way, you want to hunt by youself, you must depend on your capability, look before your leap.

If you are a millionaire, rich kind of person then you can do it. it's easy. first you go to a travel agency to book your flight, hotel reservations. plus you must have money in the bank if you go there as a tourist. or If you know somebody there that will sponsor you to come over. that will work too. but like I said: money talks. Plus don't forget your passport! goodluck.! I did work in singapore for four years but I did apply through an agency. Don't spend that much because it was a salary deduct for 3 months.!

One way would be to go there as a tourist and then just apply. I knew some people who did that. Some were successful because they already have friends there that can help them. Some are not but still intending to return. The pay is very good there. Good luck to you.

Check into securing a visa and passport. It is not advised to travel alone to a foreign country, but if one wishes to do so, it can be achieved. Be careful and do not rush anything.

adeena2000, I do not see why not, provided there's vacancy for your choice of occupation and the company is hiring. You may want to do some homework first where you can visit certain hiring websites below. Also, if you have friends or relatives in Singapore it will be great if you could ask them to check and look out on your behalf. So, do the needful and hope the link below will be of help. hi Adeena. congratulations! because you have the courage to get outside your comfort zone. =) i only have few questions for you to think about: 1. did you research about the country you are going to? like the culture, restrictions, laws for expats, geographic info, economic status, etc. you have to know the streets, areas, bus routes, etc. 2. did you save enough for you to survive the life in singapore? you can earn a lot there, however, you have to understand the cost of living ing SG. you have buy your visa and plane ticket. you also have to have enough cash for your lodging especially you said you are venturing alone. 3. living conditions: upon arrival do you already have a place to stay? or will only start scouting when you get there? you cannot live in the streets on your first few nights. so, as early as now, you should start using your connections. and be open enough to the thought that you will need the help of your friends who are in SG 4. how many weeks do you plan to stay in SG? and how do you plan to apply for jobs? will you do walk-in? literally, you are going to walk inside buildings and giving out your resumes to offices. or will you resort to online applications? each day you have is quite important.do not slack of and feel lazy when you get there. and once an offer is made, take it. do not demand for something higher to the point that the employers will find you a little arrogant on your net worth. just be humble enough to tell them your worth and start to bargain. venturing alone is ok. who knows, your luck is there. and am praying that you get a nice job. but be humble enough to seek help from the people who are already there. goodluck on your quest. enjoy the life in SG. =)
