I use the camera behind my Motorola Droid . It is really good . A good shutter speed is necessary for a good and clear image . So check that your camera has a good shutter speed . Also set the white balance in your camera according to the surroundings . A camera with a good xenon flash is always good . So even if your camera doesn't have one , buy an extra flash . Macro lenses are a good choice to zoom far images . So if you want to take good images of far objects , don't relay on the digital zoom your camera has . And most importantly ,have a tripod even if your camera comes with image stabilization because if you use the digital zoom in the camera , it will also zoom your hand shakes .So keep all this in mind . HAPPY PHOTOS

I prefer using a digital camera snapshot because I want to see immediately the results. And if ever I don't like the image I can easily delete it.Do you agree?

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15, which I love. I would suggest you buy the best camera you can afford and try to stick to the best names like Panasonic, Kodak, Fuji, Canon, etc. Get a camera with a good Megapixels for big, good quality photos. My camera has 12 MP. Then play around with it to check what all the features do.

If you stay with the point and shoot and want high quality shots then megapixels need to be pretty high.12 megapixels or more. But if you chose to use a DSLR ( digital single lens reflex) then between 6 to 10 megapixels is plenty for big quality shots. The sensor in a DSLR is bigger , so 6 megapixels from one of those cameras will actually be higher resolution than a point and shoot with 12 megapixels on a smaller sensor. Hope this helps
