Hello Lotters, One of the reasons why i am too lazy going to church is because they kept changing the song in "our father" which really pisses me off if am not familiar with it because you just couldn't follow. other songs are the usual. just can't stand it. other christian songs in youtube are alright too. but this one really caught my attention and i have been listening and watching it ever since. i know it's from another Christian Sect, but i LOVE IT. frankly, it's worth listening that lifts me UP. Not a referral LInk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-08YZF87OBQ

Church Choir - I was part of our church choir when I was younger. I really enjoyed being part of the choir back then. Those were good times. One of the most memorable moments of my life.
I agree.. it's quite annoying how they would always change the melody of the more popular church songs like the Our Father, Santo Santo, and Kordero ng Diyos.. There'll be times when I go to Mass and I'd be singing out loud and then suddenly, I'd be out of tune because they were singing it differently.. I still prefer the old ways on how they were sung.. :)

Hello Che, Yeah, i always remember the old versions, those where really the uplifting ones. i kinda hope the church make laws that prevent the our father song tune from being changed, it's too much, people are getting lazy to sing, but i sing it, even if it's not familair with it. i hate it when am not on tune so i just let them sing then i follow

Hi to both of you, how often does your parish change the tune? Do they do it every Sunday? Well in that case, that concern had to be raised. In my case, if I skip the regular masses at my usual parish for long, the next time I appear in that Church, some tunes have been changed. But that's like after months of not being there. Okay, I do jump from one church to another in search of a better liturgy that's why it is expected that I encounter different songs and different tunes. Also, do understand that there are thousands of composers out there who give their different musical scores for those parts that you mentioned. I personally would like to hear new ones as the old and traditional versions can also get boring. HOwever, I do realize that it messes up with the participation of the majority because the choir alone knows the tunes.

Hello hatley, Did you like it? i just can't stop listening to this song, i swear i became addicted to it, in positive way. some how it has uplift me a little bit in being more responsible christian. well, i've seen a lot of people sleeping during the mass, but i rarely do it, most specially if the midnight mass is around 3 to 4 am

Just my opinion - I don't think there's anything wrong listening to Hillsong (my dad's a catholic, mom's a protestant, I'm 50 50 lol). Some people criticize their music - well let's not forget love and respect are way much more important than traditions and music - and I believe that God allowed different churches to emerge for the purpose of teaching us to respect and love each other despite the differences in beliefs and opinions. I think we Christians have different spiritual needs. Some of us have that need to rejoice and shout and do it with jumping and dancing - and it's okay because it's all for the Lord - while some of us prefer quiet and solemn worship - and I believe it's still okay in the eyes of God - because it's the heart that counts, more than the religion itself. Since my parents go to difference churches, I attend them both. I don't care how they criticize me for not being "loyal" to just one church - because I know, that God knows, I love my parents both and I respect them - and my attending of two churches - is my way of showing them respect and love. And again it's all for the Lord. All sects have their own scholars, I won't waste my time proving my point and disproving them. Our personal relationship with God is all that matters.
