who made this violin?

I am trying to find information on who the maker might be and what year an old violin might have been made. The case it came in has Dec 14 1909 dated on the hinges but that might not mean anything. The violin itself has a star of david inlay design on the back, is made of maple and tiger maple - is lighter colored and the front is dull but still in pretty good shape
