Google has just announced in San Francisco, that they are coming up with a television that allows users to switch between watching films and surfing the net has been unveiled by Google. Google together with Sony and electronics firms Logitech and Intel, seem to have created 'companion boxes' and remote controllers that allow users to switch between the internet access and television at the flick of a switch, with a special wireless keyboard included as well. Seems like a simple set up where consumers with HDTV sets will be able to plug into the technology simply by buying the set-top box. The TV is expected to go on sale in the U.S. this autumn before arriving in Britain next year. There's no official word as to how much it will cost but I am sure it would be affordable. This is indeed a great breakthrough, as there's no current operator capable of providing full internet access especially when their access to sites are limited. Are you excited yet?
